Neurotransmitters is a type of chemical present in the brain, which is responsible to transmit the signal from one brain cell to the other. Certain antidepressants also help provide stress relief by boosting Serotonin and Noradrenaline, which are two important chemicals involved in depression.

The use of this category of medication varies from one individual to the other. Also, the usage depends on the kind of antidepressant being used. Since antidepressants may result in severe side effects, it is best to use them under strict medical supervision. Also, make sure that you never ever overdose on these medications. In case, you happen to miss a dose, make sure that you talk to your doctor about the same. Do not take two doses at the same time.
