Headaches Caused By Stress

Physical and environmental stress expresses itself in a number of ways.  Stress headache or tension headache is usually triggered by an internal stressors or environmental factors. There are a number of environmental sources that may cause stress headaches. Problems related to relationships, work, finance, family or friends might cause tension headaches.

* Headache upon awakening
* Chronic fatigue
* Difficulty in falling asleep and staying asleep
* Disturbed concentration
* Irritability

The best way to reduce the pain from a tension headache is to take a mild analgesic and to relax. There are mild exercises that help to relieve the pain and tension of a stress headache. Deep breathing and yogic postures are also beneficial.

The best way to prevent stress headaches is to manage and control stress levels. Stress management includes a number of techniques to manage stress. Exercise, positive thinking, yoga and making the right choices in the food that we eat help us to manage and handle stress.
