Old age … the time when you have all the time in the world to do what you always wanted to…!

Old age … also the time when a kind of vacuum is created as you are separated from your loved ones and the rest of your family. There is no concrete work schedule to follow, and you start feeling unwanted. When all the young members of the family are busy in their discourses of life, you lack the love and attention you need. All these factors contribute in stressing you out.

Now the question that arises is what can you do to overcome old age stress?

There are a lot of therapies and medications which can help you out. Apart from them, there are also some techniques you can opt for.

Some tips to combat old age stress are:

C) Practice some stress management techniques like meditation, yoga, etc.

D) Develop a social circle of your own. Meet your friends, go out and socialize. It will ease the flow of ideas and you will be able to share your fears amongst the people of your own age.

E) If you are feeling ignored and unwanted, talk to your family about it. Let them know what you think. Communicating your fears will ease the situation.
