Stress Fracture Foot
A stress fracture is an injury as a result of overuse.
It happens when the muscles become fatigued and are incapable of
absorbing the shock and repeated impacts as stress and health are
closely related. With time, the fatigued muscles transfer stress to the
bone, resulting in a small disruption (a foot stress fracture). A stress
fracture foot can occur as a result of perpetual load on the feet. Long
distance runners are prone to this type of foot injury. The symptoms are:
A) Tenderness and swelling on the bone at certain point.
B) Pain in the
affected bone while working out.

Causes
of stress fracture foot include:

F) Osteoporosis
G) Poor shoes
High
impact sports such as running, track, basketball and gymnastics can
increase the risk of stress fractures. These sports lead to trauma due
to the repetitive stress on the foot which strikes the ground again and
again. If an athlete does not take short breaks, he risks a stress
fracture.
The most grand treatment for foot stress fractures is
to take rest for stress relief. Players need to take a break from the
causes of stress fracture, and get involved in the pain-free stress
management activities during the period when symptoms of stress
fractures begin to heal.
