Stress is a psychological reaction to issues and events that are part
of one's environment. College is usually one of the most stressful
times of our lives. It comprises of mounting pressures and lingering
anxieties, heart-pounding emotions and all-night panics.

Stress can result in a number of psychological as well as
physiological problems. A number of research studies have revealed
that there is a deep link between not only stress and minor symptoms
such as headaches and body ache, but also between stress and diseases
such as hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and cancer.

Managing stress and symptoms of stress is necessary to be able to cope
up with every day life. Undue stress influences our health and causes a
number of health related problems such as high blood pressure, insomnia
and body ache.

Childhood is a sensitive age during which children learn new things and
have experiences, the memories of which last for a lifetime. In the
modern day, children are prone to stress and anxiety because of a
number of reasons.

Stress is in many ways a normal manifestation of human behavior. Some
level of stress is necessary and is in many ways essential to carry out
everyday tasks. It is only when stress levels become unmanageable that
we should think in terms of getting professional help to manage the
stress.

Stress in teenagers is common too. You never know when the extended
levels of stress would take the shape of depression. Depression in
people of this age group may manifest itself in the form of behavior
such as mood swings, smoking or drinking. If left untreated it may
assume forms that are more serious.
