One of the universal pre-menopausal and menopausal symptoms is anxiety. Women experience anxiety during menopause. The reason behind anxiety during menopause is hormonal imbalances, which occur at this time. Hormonal instabilities make you prone to anxiety during menopause and this is when all women go through similar anxiety problem. There are different symptoms of anxiety during menopause symptoms like breathlessness, trembling, irritability, rapid heartbeat, stomach problems, sweating, insomnia, fatigue and others. There are other symptoms like constant worry for no apparent reason. Anxiety is said to be a vicious circle, which raises menopausal symptoms like hot flashes that in turn cause worst anxiety cases. Some of these symptoms may occur suddenly, while others may happen gradually. Anxiety when it occurs suddenly is known as anxiety panic attack. Such an attack makes a woman suffer from anxiety disorder. The severity of this disorder varies from woman to woman. Women can do a number of things to combat such disruptive attacks. These are: 1. Identify and reduce the stress points in life. You should try to have control over reasons that cause an anxiety attack. Identifying the stressors means that half the work is done. 2. You should know how to relax and enjoy doing things you like. 3. Eat well, sleep well, make merry and learn to relax. 4. Engage in physical exercises or activities such as Yoga and Tai Chi. 5. You can discuss you problem with your physician.. You can also talk it out with close friends. You should remember not to ignore your anxiety and to take care of your body. Related Articles
