One of the painful conditions that can afflict our joints is arthritis. This condition arises because of inflammation in our joints results in pain whenever we try to move our joints. It results in stiffness in the joints and hampers normal bodily movement. There are various reasons for arthritis and various forms of the disease such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. The reasons for arthritis can vary from autoimmune response of the body, age or trauma. Traumatic arthritis is a form of arthritis that is on account of repeated trauma or inappropriate force applied to the joint. An injury to the joint causes traumatic arthritis. This injury may damage the cartilage in the joint. This form of arthritis may not manifest itself immediately after the injury; it may become evident only after some time has elapsed. In some cases of posttraumatic arthritis, the pain may start years after the injury has taken place. There are various treatments for treating this kind of arthritis. Medication, painkillers and rest are required for the joint to heal itself.
