Sex has often been defined as a means to fight stress. It burns calories and relieves you of mental and physical tension. It improves the flow of blood and infuses a new enthusiasm in you.

What are the basic reasons related to sex that lead to stress? Let's have a look at them:

A) Unfulfilled desires: An unfulfilled and unsatisfactory sex life builds in a lot of emotional, psychological and mental pressure. This pressure gradually takes the shape of stress. You might end up feeling frustrated and irritated when you are not able to get the pleasure you want out of it or when you are not able to give expression to your desires.

B) Too much of it! Excess of anything is bad. Too much of sex can also cause a lot of stress. Especially when one of the two partners is unwilling. It could lead to a mental breakdown with the unwilling person feeling guilty or exploited and the willing person feeling forceful.

C) Harassment: Sexual harassment, either at home or at workplace can become a major cause of stress. Rapes, sexual exploitation, and other such situations, drain the individual of all their vital faculties. It leaves an indelible imprint on the mind of the sufferer.

But, there is another aspect to it as well. Today’s conditions are such that everybody is stressed. The stress pertaining to workplace, worries regarding money, tensions about kids' future and many more things keep you tied to one or the other type of stress. This stress sometimes, rather, most of the times affects your sex life and thus cause a lot of emotional upheaval. This should be taken care of.
