Guided imagery has been known as a really effective tool to fight stress initially. Later on, it can also be used for guiding the mind from inside. It is a simple process and gives a lot of pleasure as well as peace of mind.

A) Just put yourself in a comfortable position (sit straight or lie down).

B) Practice deep breathing.

C) Close you eyes and try to imagine the most beautiful scene you would like to be in. It could be a landscape comprising of river and waterfalls, grass and trees, or anything you like.

D) Now just try to pull all your senses into it. Smell the fragrance, feel the fresh air, hear the music of flowing water.

E) Remain in that state for as long as you want.

F) When you'll return, you are bound to feel more calm and quite.

It is a very effective technique which combines all your senses and thus helps you to relax. It is especially recommended for pregnant women who experience stress. You can also use some soothing background music. Try and enjoy it!
