If stress is the cause of your worry then just leave it aside. Apart from medications and therapies that you might be afraid of trying, there are certain techniques that can prove to be of great help. Autogenic training is one of them.

Autogenics requires discipline and time. It teaches you to create the feelings of warmth and happiness in your body thereby taking you towards a state of physical and mental relaxation. Gradually, it can also help you to get rid of addictions.

A) Take out your shoes, wear loose clothes and lie down on hard floor.

B) Let your body relax so that you are able to feel the weight of the different parts of your body, as you lift them up, one-by-one.

C) Practice it daily. Slowly you can increase the time span of your session. If you fall asleep during it, try it again. Focus on your inner experiences, what you feel inside.

D) When you reach the end of the session, just close your eyes, relax for a while and then get up.

You may take time to experience the weight of each body part separately, so don't be in a hurry. It requires time to learn Autogenics.
