In case you cannot resolve to deal with stress, you will be doing a lot of harm to yourself and your health. In a traffic jam, one develops stress. The situation sometimes becomes painful. The person gets stuck in the car. The person cannot do anything about such a situation. The person thinks he will be late for work. The person thinks that he/she will miss important client. The person, in short, fears the threat to get sacked. The reason is that this is the umpteenth timeĀ  the person is stuck in a traffic jam.

Traffic jam and the revolving negative thoughts will create stress in the person. The body of the person will show negative response to this kind of stress. The body will release hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol into the bloodstream which will increase the blood pressure. The increase in the blood pressure in turn may increase the chances of strokes and heart attacks.

When the body responds to stress, blood is diverted from the stomach. This causes hindrance in the food absorption. This can lead to problems in the stomach. The most common complaints are cramps, bloating, constipation and diarrhea. In case of such stress, irritable bowel syndrome is increased. This illness is very much related to chronic stress. This stress is a long term stress. In chronic stress, the body feels that it is constantly under stress. In chronic stress, there is release of stress hormones into the body at unexpected levels. This can bring about tremendous changes in the functioning of the body.

In case of stress, the immune system does not respond properly. When immune system becomes weak, there is high risk of flu, cold and other infectious diseases. The skin becomes weak. The cuts do not heal immediately.

Stress has a debilitating effect on the memory. This will affect the learning process in the life of a man. There is one short solution. The solution is that to deal with stress, the person needs to be aware of stress.
